As you guys know, there are tons of Taiwanese reporters following Wang's every step. That's why I always laugh people feel CC and A.J. can release some pressure off Wang. If you are one of those persons feel that way, you may need to concern how CC and A.J handle spotlight of New York first.

Ok, go back to the topic. There are few tidbits between Wang and his teammates and coaches on Taiwanese newspapers. Those stories can show you how much attention Taiwanese pay on Wang. I don't know how you guys feel, but I really like to read those tidbits about any player.

CC with Wang about Wang' new glove

I show you guys different versions of Wang's new glove earlier. Few days ago, there is a tidbit between Wang and CC. During spring training, a lot of companies sell equipment will allow come into clubhouse to sell to players. Of course, Nike will be one of those companies. CC brings one of Nike's staff to Wang's locker in order to show Wang's new glove because CC wants Nike to design one for him based on that idea. This whole glove becomes a huge story in Taiwan as far as I know. When this CC story comes out, there are some Taiwanese Yankees fans start designing different versions of CC's glove on the website.

Wang with Joba about steroids

As you guys know, Wang and Joba become very good friends since Wang rehabilitated his hamstring in 2007. Tons of Yankees players like to joke with Wang all the time because Wang gets a good sense of humor and great personality.

This story between Wang and Joba happen when Yankees drive 2.5 hours to play their third spring training game with Twins. Before practice in the morning, Joba use his milk powder to make milk. Wang enters the clubhouse and yells at Joba,"Joba, you eat steroids?" Of course, Joba is going to fight back. Joba then says, "I know you drink green tea steroids because you always look full of energy after drinking green tea"

Wang with Gator about bunting

Yankees pitchers need to practice bunting this spring. I guess Yankees learn a hard lesson and want to make sure that won't happen again during interleague games. After practicing many times, Wang improves his bunting little by little. Few days ago after practicing bunting, Taiwanese reporters say to Wang how well he bunts that day. Wang replies, "Today the ball is slower". Later on, reporters find out Gator is the one throw pitches to pitchers for practicing bunting that day.

All Taiwanese reporters know the special relationship between Gator and Wang. Then they tell Gator what Wang says to them. Gator says to reporters, "really? Wang says that to you guys. I am going to kill him". Later on, Gator tells reporters, "I tell Wang to be careful next time when I throw to them during bunting practice because my command is not the same anymore." Yesterday, Wang was hit by pitch during bunting practice. Gator is the pitcher.

P.S. Wang has threw 2 more bullpen sessions. One is for 56 pitches. The other is 46 pitches. Wang's command is getting better. However, Wang hasn't gotten his velocity back.

a little titbit regard of the reaction from Wang about Yankees Stadium

I like most of you guys who read a lot of news about our Yankees and pay attention on what happen to them. Of course, I believe you guys probably read a lot of news related to Yankees stadium this past week. I am not going to repeat it.

The one I have for you guys is the reaction from Wang. You guys probably won't be able to read this on other places. As you guys know, I am a Taiwanese and tons of Taiwanese media pay so much attention on Wang.

*Wang was sad he was not able to play this final game

*There are a lot of memory for Wang at Yankees stadium. He misses every game played at Yankees stadium because he is so happy that he is able to play here with so many great players. On top of that, Wang said there are tons of fans coming and rooting for them every night. the thing he remembers the most is the cheers he got from fans at his major league debut at Yankees stadium.

*The place he will miss the most is the right field because he always plays catch over there

*Wang actually showed a little more emotion when was asked about the thing he will miss the most at this Yankees stadium. Wang said he really misses the time he plays for Joe Torre, Ron Guidry and Larry Bowa.

*Of course, Wang got some dirts from mound at Yankees stadium. But, the thing he really wants to take home as a gift is the scale in the training room. When was asked the reason, he laughed and said because he weighted on that scale all the time and that scale was produced at 1950s. The second choice is his locker.

*Comparing to most teammates who was chatted with all kind of visitors before the final game, Wang actually was doing his rehab until the game started and sit at the dugout the rest of game.

This year certainly is a tough year not only for Wang but also for our Yankees as well. When the season ends, Wang not only has to face his rehab but also the decision of playing for Taiwan at WBC or not.

I know there are tons of discussions, questions, reactions raised in Taiwan already. As a Yankee fan, I hope he says no to Taiwanese team. As a Taiwanese, I hope he says yes. But, when I consider his serious foot injury this season and the weird schedule of WBC, I probably hope he will say no. Only hope he won't get "killed" by Taiwanese or Taiwanese media for this. How do you guys think? I will talk about this more during off-season.

Some Wang's news...

*Gator came back for Old Timers’ Day few days ago. Gator gave Wang a huge hug immediately when he saw Wang in the clubhouse. Gator told Wang,"Don't let them force you to come back earlier. Don't just look now. You have many years ahead of you." Of course, Gator tease Wang his poor running skill. Gator also told Wang not to get on base when he gets another chance to hit.

*Yankees already told Wang to stay in New York for rehab during the whole August. Next week, Wang will wear special shoe Yankees made for him and start walking with one crutch. Wang already started his rehab on his right thigh.

*Wang keep in touch with Mike Myers who is at home. Myers told Wang he is happy now because he is able to stay at home with family and play golf. Wang said Myers is better than him because he at least is able to play golf and he even can't walk.

*Larry Bowa keep talking and sending text messages to Wang. Bowa is Bowa who won't change. He told Wang, "You are a man. Don't act like a sissy. I know you are not hurt now. Come back to pitch"

*When Wang was told by reporters about Giardi's comments:"The chances of us getting him back Sept. 1 are zero, Oct. 1? It's possible." Wang said, "He told about Sept. 1, right? He didn't mention the days after Sept. 1, right? I will try to come back after Sept. 1"

You can tell Wang have good relationship with everyone in the clubhouse, including teammates, and coach staff. You can tell Wang will do his best to come back as soon as he can. At the same time, You can tell Yankees will be extremely careful with Wang.

*By the way, Wang went to see doctor yesterday. Although Wang still have to use crutches and wear special shoe, he can start trying to walk and put some weight on his right foot. Wang is very happy to be able to start walking again.

*For the long haul, Yankees hope Wang not try to come back too soon and then aggravate his foot injury. Yankees will consider to pitch Wang again if they get into playoffs.

Wang's reaction about injury

I don't think you guys are able to watch Wang's interview about his injury. Wang doesn't get too much television time which he likes anyway. Wang enjoys flying under the radar without catching anyone attention. Sometimes I really doubt how well Yankees fans know about Wang.

You guys probably get few prints about Wang's reaction, such as Larry Bowa and Ron Guidry's words. Wang's injury is a huge news in Taiwan. I know and notice this even though I am not in Taiwan. My friends told me Wang's interview is everywhere. In Taiwan, there is even a news about Wang's parents' reaction. Wang's parents said, every Taiwanese walks past them on the street and says to them"We are praying for Wang".

I will talk about my feeling about Wang's injury on another post. Here we goes, this is Wang's interview. I try to sum it up as much as I can.

Wang apologies to Yankees, his teammates and fans about injuring himself and causing problems. He blames himself about getting hurt and not able to help Yankees.

Wang actually thought injury would be much worse than the one he has now. Before taking MRI in New York, he worry so much about the possibility of breaking bones or ligament which will end his season for sure. He actually breathe a sigh of relief after knowing that he "only" tears ligament.

When he was asked how he feels about his injury by Taiwanese reporters, Wang said, "Being on the field and playing game is the thing make a athlete happy. I am so upset when I know I can't play on the field and help my team win."

By the way, Wang says he will go to ballpark and root for his teammates everyday. One Taiwanese reporter asked how about when Yankees go on their road trips? Wang said, I don't think Yankees will allow me to follow them. During Yankees-Padres series, Wang actually go to ballpark early everyday and stay with them until game ends.

Of course, He said he will do everything he can, rehab everyday and come back as soon as he can.

the quote every yankees fans wanna hear....

Everyone is pretty happy about Wang's outing,especially his ability and will to pitch deep into ball game.Actually,there is nothing special for most taiwanese ball players of their attitude.They do whatever can help team win and whatever coaches say.A lot of media asked Wang about complete game after game,Wang said "The most important thing is team winning".Another interesting quote is Wang said to Taiwanese media "We can't let Red Sox run away.We need to close gap and catch them".This is exactly the quote every yankees fans wanna hear.Let's go Yankees!!!

Wang actually told to Taiwanese media recently about his change.Gator help him out a lot.Gator teach him how to change his delivery in order to throw Gator's nasty slider.Wang try to used to his new delivery.Wang really want to be great.That's why he start to throw more slider,changeup and splitter now.In 2001,Wang had a big shoulder surgery.After that,Wang told Taiwanese media he couldn't throw slider as good as before surgery he did.He didn't know the reason.Right now,Obviously,Wang get his new-nasty-slider.

Defense is so amazing.....

I won't go through all the details about what happened to two games.I know Yankees' hitters in the huge slump now,but defense is so great.They play defense beautifully.WoW!!!Cabrera catched two-runs-homer and almost threw out one batter on the homeplate on game 1.He continuously stopped everyone trying to advance to third base on fly ball (I don't think Damon can do that)and actually got one to end Sox 6 inning.Mientkiewicz and A-Rod also made a lot of good play.WoW!!!

Obviously,everyone know I am excited at how great Wang pitch.Actally,I was so amazed at how great Wang pitch when men on base,especially he got into two men on with no one out twice.I can't breathe at that moment.Wang have a big heart.Sometimes I feel he doesn't have one.HA!!

Give you guys more reaction from Wang after games.I believe I probably get more info about Wang than you guys as Taiwanese.You know,The Taiwanese media focus on Wang more.

About how great he pitch....Wang said"I didn't pitch great.I still threw some sinkers high and I threw some spitters too low.I will keep working on my spitters"

About this win....Wang said"Guidry,Mussina and people in the bullpen help me a lot about smooth his delivery in his bullpen section between start"..."I get a lot of great teammates.We will get it going together"

About the possibility to pitch on Sunday on short day rest...Wang said"I will do it whatever they ask me to do"...He start worrying about his hitting..."I need to go to batting practice next few days to practice my hitting."
