Comparing with Torre's news, I am more interested in reading news regard of Yankees players who prepare for spring training. Just in case. He starts reporting a lot of news regard of Yankees players on Mark Feinsand's Blogging the Bombers.
Jeter, Joba, Wang, Posada, Gardner, Bruney and Albaladejo are all in Tampa. They all look pretty good that are good news to everyone, aren't?
Can't wait for spring training.

Very exciting that things are finally starting to happen. Its good to see Wang and Posada working out, given their injuries. Also, its nice seeing Gardner there working on his game. Its that sort of thing that makes me really want Gardner to be an active part of the 2009 Yankee club.
There is one good battle: Melky/Gardner/Swisher who will all want (and hopefully deserve) playing time. I also hope all the young pitchers have a great spring! Joba, Hughes, Aceves, all the young relievers.... I'd be really happy if there are so many great pitchers ready and waiting for their chance. That kind of depth and future is something the Yankees have not had in their minor leagues for some time! I'd also like to see someone emerge as "the catcher of the future".
