Let's go Novak Djokovic

If you don't know who he is, don't worry about your baseball knowledge. Novak Djokovic is not a baseball player. Novak Djokovic is my favorite tennis player who is from Serbia and currently ranks 3 behind Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Why do I mention this? Yesterday was first day of 2009 Australian Open. Two years in a row, I almost decided to go to Melbourne for Australian Open. Last year, I didn't go and Djokovic won. If Djokovic wins again this year or gets into the final, I must admit I bring more luck to my favorite team or players because of my absence. I remember I went to many baseball games in Taiwan for my favorite Taiwanese team, they almost lost every time.

Scoreboard updated: Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer pass their first round yesterday. Lleyton Hewitt and Rafael Nadal will have their first round today.

I hope you like his personality, and his performance, or his philanthropy or something.. hehe.. you've proven to me that you're not the typical female sports than, that just roots for the cute athletes, and is very fair-weather-ish about their allegiances, don't let me down

Djokovic actually has a outgoing personality that usually isn't type of athlete I like. I usually like the player like Mo, Jeter and Wang who all have classic acts.

For someone reasons, I like players from Serbia a lot when I watch tennis.

I always remember a game which is the reason I root for him. In the game, His opponent is the audiences' favorites. Almost all audiences turn against him. He even start getting angry at one moment. At the same time, He was fighting with injury. Basically, he fights with all kinds of physical, mental and emotional difficulties.

In the end, Djokovic won that game. When he was interviewed by host on the arena, He addressed his feeling about audiences with humor and honesty. During interview, all the audiences cheers for him. It's a beautiful interview.

Since that game, I really like him. I guess tennis is not a team sport, is about individual performance. I like his honest.

On the field, he still need to improve his game if he wants to beat out Federer and Nadal. Even though I don't really like Federer and Nadal, their performance on the field is amazing, especially the improvement Nadal makes this past year.

How about a doubles match with the Wiliiams sisters. I would only watch the top competition, I'm not a big fan of the sport, but championship matches are usually must see.

I actually doesn't watch women sport much on any sport. That's my problem because it seems to me male sport provides much higher quality.

I like to watch games as many as possible along the way.

I rarely hear a women take that point of view. To say its not as high a quality? That unfair..men are built for physical activity. I used to go to WNBA games when I was younger (the new york liberty) and had a lot of fun. In HS my gf played softball, and I'd be at pretty much every game, and had fun. I personally prefer only to watch the baseball teams I like (Yankees, and Rangers) but I will watch any NFL game, and big NBA matchups, like Cavaliers, Magic, Lakers, my Knicks, my Nets, Celtics, etc. Its got nothing to do with gender..just familiarity, and the excitement surrounding the event. I'm an athlete, who enjoys watching top flight athletes, the best at their particular field. My mom would be proud of this post. lol.

I probably delivery the wrong message because of my English. I don't have any issue with gender or nationality.

In my opinion, the way to show you don't treat people differently, you put everyone in the same place to make a judgment. In other words, you don't care about those issues.

I watch a lot of female games and admires some of them as well. Just like I watch Williams game last night. I just prefer to watch male games more.
